Rain, rain

It's been so rainy here the past couple of days so I thought I would put these up from a recent session - I love me some umbrellas and rainboots.

Cutest thing in the world - ever

Yes, it's a fairly bold statement but I'm pretty confident that this video my photographer friend, Sarah Q, made of her little boy, Kai, is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Update

When Jared and I got back from our trip last Wednesday I found out that my Uncle Kelly, my mom's brother, had been hit by a car the evening before and was in a coma with many severe injuries. On Saturday they removed the life support and he passed away, the funeral was yesterday. My heart breaks for his family but I am grateful to know that we will be with him again.

On a side note - he was hit while getting into his car parked off of the road by someone who was texting on their phone, not paying attention, and swerved into him by accident. I know there are so many people, especially teenagers, who text and drive all the time. Please, please, please wait until you are parked or out of the car to text, even just a quick one - it is so needless and so dangerous.

In all her beautifulness!! We did some inside too because the wind was so ferocious.

Most brides would have freaked out with the wind, but I love how she reacted!

The Flour Shop

My friend, Marissa, has always wanted to open a bakery and make all kinds of fabulous treats. So after much tought and contemplation on a name our friend, Adam, came up with "The Flour Shop". So for her (much belated) Christmas present I wanted to make her first official Flour Shop apron. Or better put - I wanted to design the apron and have my mom make it (love you mom!).

When Marissa was in San Fransisco recently she came across the cutest, most perfect bakery/tea room in the world - Crown & Crumpet. I love it! I wanted to do something like that mixed with a little Anthropologie -

So I started with these:

Made a little ruffle (and by that I mean - watched my mom make a little ruffle):




My friend, Theresa, did the monogram:




I ironed.... a lot:




And voila!!






Complete with a little loop for hanging a towel through. You don't want to wipe your hands on such a cute apron!


Not done yet - in true mom fashion she added the finishing touches to make everything perfection.

On a side note I just have to say that I never cease to be amazed by how crazy talented my mom is at pretty much everything. She can whip out couture aprons, bridesmaid dresses, and even wedding dresses without a pattern, make the best candles, fix things - or call someone to fix it :), cook anything, and decorate everything. On top of all of that she's everyone's mom, always there, hilariously funny, brutally honest, and completely gorgeous. Thanks for everything Mom, love you more than words can say.

B-e-a-utiful

Here are a few from Callie's bridal session. Even thought it was FREEZING outside and I'm pretty sure we were in the middle of a small tornado the whole afternoon she totally rocked it! Talk about gorgeous, the girl should be a supermodel.
