So this is what they mean by "You may experience some swelling in the final weeks", um yea. My ankles and toes look like sausages. Thank goodness this little guy is getting here soon, my body is starting to revolt! The crazy thing is when I put my feet up at night Jared can push on my ankles and leave dents, like if you needed a little salsa bowl for your chips you could make one in the side of my ankle. Sick.
Other than that things are pretty good, although I'm definitely large and in charge. There's just not much cute about 38 weeks pregnant. It's just crazy how big your belly can get, it feels like every morning I wake up rounder!! I had a checkup this week and they said he could be here any day now. So our bags are packed and everyone has directions to the hospital, now we wait.
So even though I feel like a turtle with my shell on backwards I am thankful that all in all it has been a pretty easy pregnancy. I still only sleep with one pillow (someone in our birthing class was up to SEVEN), I don't have to get up in the night to go to the bathroom, and IT'S GOING TO BE OVER SOON!
On a side note: I know a whole different reality is on the other side of all of this but if I have to hear someone start a sentence with "JUST WAIT" one more time I will bite them. Why do people enjoy telling pregnant women "Just wait, you think you want to die now? Just wait. You think you're tired now? Ha." Why? Even if it is the truth, LIE TO ME! I don't care!
Okay, now that I got that hormonal rant out of the way! Things are good and we are so, so excited. Jared thinks he will be here the week before Thanksgiving, I'm betting this weekend or early next week. Any other guesses?

Tyan, I hope you don't mind that I keep tabs on you through your blog. I am super excited for you and Jared! And, although I haven't seen you in awhile, I am sure you are an adorable pregnant woman (even at 38 weeks)!
You really don't get up at night to pee? Wow. I don't want to be a just waiter, but here's something positive for you... It's amazing how quickly the discomforts of being pregnant disappear after having the baby. I mean I guess it makes sense, but it's still kind of crazy how you just suddenly don't have to pee all the time or you don't have that crazy sense of smell or heartburn. It just all goes away. Something to look forward to I guess. The swelling will be gone too before you know it!
Tyan! I love watching your blog. So fun. I can't wait to see your amazing pictures of your tiny man. Just wait...you won't beleive how much you will love him!!! Life is different..in a wonderfuly, crazy, falling in love way. Hope to see you soon!
I want to be called "Auntie Em"...like on wizard of oz! Just kidding! I can't wait!
So fun meeting you for lunch on Wednesday. You look amazing and I am not just saying that. My "just you wait comment" is just that...you don't look nearly miserable enough for Brody to arrive anytime soon. I'm sure that takes the prize for the meanest "just you wait" comment so far! Please, Please prove me wrong!!I can't wait to be a..Mimi, Nana, Meemaw, Gigi?...these were all the names we saw on t-shirts and stuff for grandma's yesterday in Salado.haha Gigi??
Wiser Pregnancy conducted a scientific survey of women who attended birthing classes and found that more than half who attended a class found that it didn't help or only somewhat helped them in their delivery. It also found that it didn't impact epidural use
Just wait....you will love him more than anything.
It's true.
