Don't we all wish...

...that we were this pretty? More of the gorgeous Miss Rachel. What kills me is during our session she asked "Is my hair okay? I just let it dry and didn't do anything to it." How amazing would it be to have hair like this without doing anything! Love her.

Almost 4 months

Where are you bean?

There you are!!!



It's a little baby bump! (I don't know why I look mad in this picture, I think it just felt weird standing in that pose for the first time. Or maybe it was that I was about to go to the gym and cripple myself, I dread legs day)

It is so crazy that there is a little person in there! In a couple days it will be officially 4 months so it's all about to get really real! We don't get to find out the sex until early July and we are both dying to know, I can't start shopping until I know! Everything has been going really smoothly though - the morning sickness is long gone, I am no longer on a potato-only diet, my bedtime is back to normal (or close to it), I can go to the gym again, and I don't feel like I want to die anymore!! Hooray!!

My skin is still going a little crazy, I guess it's not liking all the hormones. But other than that things are pretty great! As far as clothes go my pants are getting a little snug these days. Everything except a few things still fit fine but they're just not as comfortable, you know? I'm in that weird in between phase of "fat or pregnant?" That's what I feel like people ask themselves when they see me, and how it totally feels with a little bump. But I guess soon enough it will be a big bump and people can guess for themselves!

It has been really fun though, we went to Tyler for the Memorial Day weekend and had such a blast. My mom is crocheting it up already and has so many cute hats and little things made, all in pink and blue just to be safe! It's so cute, love you mom! The girls got to relax while the boys worked on a fun project that turned into a three day ordeal - putting a basketball goal on the tennis court. Sounds easy enough until they found out they needed almost 1,000 lbs of concrete, sledge hammers, and some serious skills. But at the end of the weekend they were shooting hoops with some sweet farmer tans.

Speaking of SPF this is me the same day as the pictures above - I thought it would be fun to go to the pool.....at noon....for two hours.....and put baby oil on with reckless abandon. Let this be a warning to us all.

Anthropologie.....I love you

If I could only shop from one store for the rest of my life it would definitely be Anthropologie (J.Crew would be a close second). I would love to get stuck in there after hours Home Alone style and just pretend that I live there.

I always stalk their website and torture myself but lately it has been particularly torturous because there are so many lovlies that call my name.

Sneak Peak - Miss Rachel

How unfair is it to be this gorgeous! In my senior pictures I was all awkward and weird. Miss Rachel, on the other hand, is a supermodel in the making. I'm in the middle of proofing our session but here are a few early favs.

McKinney Family

I'm so behind on proofing sessions!! I am trying to catch up and have some fun ones on the way, like this one with the cute McKinney family. I love when I meet kids at the beginning of a session and we are best friends by the end, I LOVED them!!

Behold ...

... the power of White Flower Oil. I don't know where my mom gets this stuff but it is seriously a miracle worker (or cruel torture device if you get it in your eyes).

Another fun pregnancy discovery was learning the only pain reliever you can take is Tylenol - Tylenol is for babies!!! I come from a long line of Excedrin dependent ancestors and Tylenol just doesn't do it for me. Then I remembered the small, mysterious viles of clear oil covered in chinese writings that are strategically placed around my parent's house - eureka!

Whenever we had a bad headache or sinus infection it always helped. You just dab a little on your temples, behind your ears, and under you nose and it starts helping right away. If you're hardcore you can boil a pot of water, put a few drops of white flower oil in it, and hang your head over the steam with a towel over it. That always does the trick. (be sure your eyes are closed or torture will ensue).

Before all of that you have to find where to buy the stuff, I have no idea where to buy it. Maybe my mom has access to the secret underground chinese herb market that thrives in Tyler. This could be. But if anyone wants to give it a shot I found it on Amazon - just click here.

There's a baby in there!!??

Just got back from our 12 week appointment and we got to hear the little heartbeat, it was so surreal and crazy! I'm not showing yet so it's still weird to think that there's an actual baby human in there, and that it has little hands, and eyelashes. So weird!

I thought it was going to be an ultrasound appointment where we'd actually get to SEE the little thing but I was distraught to find out we don't get another one until week 20 - WHAT THE!? Not fair, I think they should do an ultrasound at EVERY appointment. Pregnant ladies want to see their little mutants.

I also was a little stunned when the nurse told me I should be drinking 150 ounces of water a day - WHAT THE!? No, that's not a typo - 150. As in almost three times what a normal person should consume (but really, who does?). I guess I'll be getting a lot of exercise walking from my office to the bathroom.

Another concerning development (excuse the pun) are my out of control bazoombies. (please don't be reading this dad) Why did no one tell me that your bra is the first thing you grow out of!? I thought that came later! And I'm pretty sure my sisters are getting a huge kick out of it - they always used to justify their lack of bazoombies by telling me "Just wait until you get pregnant!" Yea, yea, you win, whatever. Gotta love having three sisters.

Get excited

With Jared graduating soon and a little bean on the way there is so much to be excited about! Here's a few things at the top of my list:

1. Our 12 week appointment on Thursday! We get to see the little heartbeat again and get a new blob picture for the fridge. I love those things!
2. Not being sick anymore (knock on wood). I've been ick free for about two weeks now and I feel like a new person. I'm really glad about this because for a while there I thought I might just die a slothful death.(thanks for everyone's advice and support!!)
3. Our bugaboo cameleon stroller - I've been obsessed with this thing for YEARS! Kind of pathetic, I know. But it's finally ours and I'm so excited!!! I actually pushed it around my parents house almost all weekend when we were visiting, it drives like a dream...
   
   


4. Cardigans. I love a good cardigan, it's kind of a problem.
   
   


5. The same can be said for J.Crew jeans. Simple, classic, tailored, amazingness. And they last forever, I love them.
   
   


6. Jared ordering his Aggie ring today!! This is huge and momentous (and so is the ring). Only four more classes then graduation in August - the countdown has begun!
