Finding ways to practice taking pictures is a little challenging when you have no kids, two very well documented cats, and a camera shy husband. So I wrangle my sisters into it every once in a while.

I like the editing you did for those pictures... looks great;)
If you ever need to borrow a kid or two to practice taking pictures, you can take a couple of mine. Although, I don't really think you need the practice...I think you're pretty amazing already.
