Beautiful girls

My friend, Megan, told me how magical pictures right at sunset look so I decided to try it on Saturday during my session with Alyssa and Lenea. Now I'm hooked! I love the warm glowiness (actual word?) and the vintage feel. It doesn't hurt that these girls are BEAUTIFUL, don't they look like future Anthropologie models!?

They showed this video on the Today Show this morning, it's a true story and they actually had the two guys on the show. It's just one of those that make you feel good!

It makes me grateful for good friends that have kept in touch, love you guys!

Family of four

I had so much fun with the Armstrongs and their cute girls during their session on Saturday. They were so great, it was especially cute to see the girls with their dad and how much they adored him. There's just something about a dad and his girls!

Little Chris

I spent last Saturday morning with this little guy and his mom, Brittany, doing a session in the park. It was hot and they were both such troopers! He just turned two last week and is the cutest little thing. Here are a few favorites:

I heart the Mamarazzi Workshop

A couple weeks ago I went down to Austin for the Mamarazzi Workshop by Sarah Q. of Roxy and Kai Photography, and it was AWESOME. We were there all day and learned a ton. We also got to have a mini session with this little cutie to practice! It was the best, there was actually another girl from College Station there so now we keep in touch!





If anyone is contemplating getting into photography, or if you just want to take better pictures of your kids, I highly suggest a workshop like this. You'll learn what you need and how to use it (and that Manual mode is your best friend, not just a scary M!).

Calling cards galore...

These damask print calling cards have been really popular in my Etsy store lately, and I love the colors people have been requesting. Well hello orange!

I also like how one mom asked to put "Max and Ali's Mom" on hers to give out to daycare, schools, babysitters, etc. Unique, stylish AND informative - what a great idea!

Obsession - Project Runway

Is anyone else as obsessed with Project Runway as I am!? Love it! Last night was the premier and I have to say I thought it was a little so-so. I don't have a favorite yet but boy am I glad that guy with the hideous white raincoat and yellow gloves ensemble got the boot.

I also can't stand this guy, Blayne:



He does kinda look like ET, huh? Anyway, he's obsessed with tanning and thinks he's the coolest thing in town - two of my biggest pet peeves! He also adds "licious" on the end of everything, which I'm sure is not going to get old at all.

The girls seem to have it together, I love the one from Africa! She made this awesome yellow kimono dress out of a tablecloth. So my tivo is set and I'm pumped for the new season. Now I have three months to work on our Heidi and Tim costumes for Halloween.

Happy Birthday Makell!

Not only is Makell one of my girls from church that I get to see every Sunday and Wednesday (I'm in charge of the 12 and 13 yr old girls), but she's also my trusted assistant on photography shoots! I could not live without her!

My favorite little Mia!!

Since my camera died in the middle of the Gibson's session a couple of weeks ago I scheduled a reshoot for little Mia that we got to do on Friday. She is the smushiest (real word?) cutest little thing ever, we had such a blast!









Her bows and bloomers were so cute, and talk about the most gorgeous blessing dress ever! It was beautiful.
